Gene Spiegelman is a Partner of Sagamore Hill. Additionally, Mr. Spiegelman is a Vice Chairman & Principal at RIPCO Real Estate, where he focuses on growing the New York metro area’s largest independent retail leasing and management firm. Mr. Spiegelman specializes in negotiating complex retail transactions with specific emphasis on the urban, luxury, and specialty retail sectors. He is also frequent contributor to news outlets, providing commentary and insight on retail industry trends and events.

 

Prior to joining RIPCO in 2018, Mr. Spiegelman spent 18 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was Vice Chairman and Head of Retail Services for North America and one of the firm’s top producing professionals.  Before Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Spiegelman held senior positions at several retail leasing and property investment firms.

 

Mr. Spiegelman is a two-time winner of the Real Estate Board of New York’s Retail Deal of the Year Award.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Real Estate Board of New York and the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York.

 

Mr. Spiegelman received a Master’s degree in Real Estate Investment and Development from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.
